A book is for life, not just a week

In honour of National Children’s Book Week 2013, we decided to ask a few of our team which books they loved as a child.

Crystal (Marketing)  – ‘The Mr Men and Little Miss books by Roger Hargreaves – I tried to collect them all! I also loved Animals of Farthing Wood which was made into a TV show too.’

Emma. H (Finance) – ‘Enid Blyton’s Famous Five books. I found it really exciting that you could choose where the story went by picking certain pages in the book.’

Holly (Marketing) – ‘James and the Giant Peach was my favourite, anything Roald Dahl really, I loved his silliness.’

Lyndsay (Sales) – ‘The Wind and the Willows by Kenneth Grahame and the Ladybird books such as The Gingerbread Man.’

Chelsea (Sales ) – ‘The Story of Tracey Beaker by Jacqueline Wilson. I love the TV show too.’

Katherine (Sales) – ‘The Enormous Crocodile’ by Roald Dalh, that was definitely my favourite.’

Annette (Sales) – ‘I used to love going to the library as a child and reading the Enid Blyton books. I’d say the Famous Five was my favourite.’

Emma.W (Finance) – ‘Each Peach Pear Plum by Janet Ahlerg. It was a sweet little story but a tongue twister!’
